Tricia Jaworski Graduates from Zoo Docent Training Program

Morningstar Communications would like to congratulate our own Tricia Jaworski on her graduation from the Kansas City Zoo’s docent training program. Tricia recently completed a 13-week course, and is now certified to serve as an educator on Zoo grounds.

“I love animals big and small,” Tricia said. “I had been looking to find a volunteer opportunity where I could use my communications skills, and the Zoo docent program is a perfect fit.”

Tricia now has in-depth knowledge of the Kansas City Zoo, the animals it cares for and conservation efforts it promotes. She shares this knowledge in face-to-face interactions with zoo-goers. As a member of the prestigious outreach program, Tricia is expected to perform 60 volunteer hours throughout the course of the year.

Zoo docents assist the Zoo’s education department by providing enjoyable educational experiences to visitors and the community, reflecting current information on the natural world and its diversity.
