Rachel Spear and Tyler Dustin join Morningstar Communications

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new team members! Rachel Spear and Tyler Dustin have joined Morningstar Communications as account manager and account coordinator, respectively. As account manager, Spear will develop integrated marketing communications programs, advocate for clients with the media and other key audiences, and drive brand awareness efforts. As account coordinator, Dustin will provide tactical support through public relations, social media planning and strategic communications execution.

Most recently, Rachel worked at Spur Communications as director of account strategy. She has held a variety of positions at H&R Block, CommunityAmerica Credit Union, RSM McGladrey, CARSTAR Automotive, Inc. and Sun Publications. In addition, she serves on an array of different committees and boards including the Ozanam board of directors, the Kansas City Chapter of the IABC board of directors and Young Friends of Art. She holds a degree in journalism and mass communication from Drake University and earned a Master’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in integrated marketing communications from the University of Kansas.

Dustin, who most recently served as public relations coordinator at Unicorn Theatre, also draws from his experience working with Starlight Theatre and the Kansas City T-Bones Baseball Club. He holds a degree in communications from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with an emphasis in public and interpersonal communication.
