Alphapointe Association for the Blind Creates New Job Opportunities

Alphapointe Association for the Blind adds six new positions, four of which are reserved for the visually impaired. Located in Kansas City, Mo., Alphapointe is the largest employer in the state for people with vision loss. With the unemployment rate for the visually impaired at more than 70 percent, the organization continues to create job opportunities to serve this community’s growing needs.

Alphapointe Association for the Blind is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has continued to serve people who are blind and visually impaired in the Kansas City, Mo. community and surrounding region since 1911. Alphapointe Association for the Blind is the largest single employer of visually impaired individuals, employing 176 people, and is the only comprehensive rehabilitation and education agency for people with vision loss in the state of Missouri, serving more than 4,000 individuals.
